2nd Story presents brewer John Wible and the sultan of sour/funky beers Kirk Schillinger for a night of tasting and discussion of the latest sour/funky offerings from 2nd Story’s wild ale program. Your ticket will get you (7) 9-oz sour/funky beers and a guided discussion of each of them. The lineup is listed below. All of these beers are in incredibly limited supply and some will only be available at this event.

1 - Saison Merkin (Proud to Be)—Cool Spring edition: Red wine barrel-aged amber saison; blend of wild, wood-aged and fresh, hoppy beer; balance of sour and bitter, funk and hops; primitive beer of the future; cherry, apricot, citrus, wood; dry and spicy; house mixed-culture of bretts and bacteria (many local); American hops
2 - Dirty Brunette: our brown eyed brown ale fermented with our house mixed-culture and aged in a red wine barrel. funky fruits, light oak. tobacco, chocolate, cherry
3 - Saison Merkin (Proud to Be)--Summer Babe, red wine barrel-aged edition. elegant, vinous. subtle cherry, clove, pepper. house mixed-culture. full bodied yet very dry
4 - Saison Merkin (Proud to Be)--Summer Babe, white wine barrel-aged edition. refined and complex with white wine notes of apricot, passionfruit, almond. full bodied yet very dry
5 - Wild Munich Farmhouse: Partially barrel-aged; nearly 100% Munich malt; bready, funky, dry, complex; citrus, stone, and candied fruits, light cocoa, touch caramel; house mixed-culture of bretts and bacteria (many local)
6 - Table Gold--Barrel-aged sour saison, dry-hopped with Topaz and Hallertau. lemon, lime, herbal, mineral. hop aromatics blend beautifully with complex sour flavors. very dry
7 - Blessed Blackness--our breakfast stout fermented with our house mixed-culture of bretts and bacteria, aged in Dad's Hat barrel. balance of sour, roast, coffee, and whiskey notes
